1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for DreamyTravelGuide.com is:
- Name: María del Carmen Gurruchaga
- Tax ID (NIF): 44144921D
- Address: Antziola 30, Hernani, Spain
- Email: info@dreamytravelguide.com
This policy applies to DreamyTravelGuide.com regardless of where you are visiting from, and is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we collect
We collect data from three sources:
- Analytics data, only if you consent to it. We use Google Tag Manager, which loads on every visit so it can register your cookie choice, but runs in Google's Consent Mode: until you click "Accept all" in the banner, it's blocked from setting analytics cookies or collecting data tied to you — Google may receive only limited, cookieless, aggregate signals in that state. After you accept, it can load tools such as Google Analytics, which collect your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, and the pages you visit. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
- Audience-growth data, via the Grow.me widget. We use Grow.me, provided by Mediavine, to show a follow/save prompt and recommend related content. It's installed the way Mediavine specifies and loads on every visit — Mediavine, not us, manages consent for how this data is used, through their own account sign-up flow and privacy practices. See Mediavine's Privacy Policyfor details.
- Information you send us directly. If you email us at info@dreamytravelguide.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We currently have no sign-up forms or accounts on the site — this only applies if you contact us yourself.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Analytics cookies: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time — see Section 6.
- Grow.me / Mediavine: Mediavine's own legal basis, as their data processing terms and privacy policy describe.
- Emails you send us: our legitimate interest in responding to you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Who we share data with
Analytics data processed through Google Tag Manager may be transferred to Google LLC, based in the United States. Data collected through the Grow.me widget is processed by Mediavine (see theirPrivacy Policyfor details on how they handle it). Where either involves a transfer outside the European Economic Area, it relies on safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your data ourselves, and we don't share it with anyone beyond these named tools.
5. How long we keep it
Analytics and audience-growth data is retained according to the default settings of the tools loaded through Google Tag Manager and Grow.me/Mediavine (typically a few months up to about two years, depending on the tool). Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, unless we're required to keep them longer by law.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time — use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page, or clear your browser's local storage for this site. For Grow.me/Mediavine, see their own privacy policy for how to manage your preferences with them.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@dreamytravelguide.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD) at www.aepd.es, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU country of residence.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we add new tools or forms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
